The best way to get the edge over your competitors is to fulfil customer needs better than they can. What can you do that goes above and beyond what they do? What do customers want that your competitors aren’t providing?

Keep one eye on your competitor’s moves and decide if you need to respond and how.

4. Know Your Market

Know your market better than your competitors. If you know your market and understand their desires you can do a better job of delighting them and ensure they remain loyal to you.

5. Play to Your Strengths

The best way to compete at anything is to play to your strengths. It also helps to minimise your weaknesses. Identify where you can excel and where that crosses with what your target audience will value. Ask yourself what you can do better than your competitors and make that your unique selling point.
